Freedom of Expression ! the word which we heard mostly in these days, especially from the media peoples and from activists. Most of western activists say that the religion like Islam and Christianity deny the freedom of expression. Is this true ? or a plot against religion ?. That is we discuss here.
As considering religion , don't study religion from the doings of its. But study from its Authenticated Scriptures. There are several religion in this world, but i think the cream of these
religion are same.Because of the lack of sufficient knowledge and which i have no authority to say something about,i mainly describe about Islam and freedom of expression.
Freedom of Expression a brief description:
Freedom of expression is mainly describes as the right of person to express his/her ideas that may be differed from others or even the government of a country. This is described fundamental human Right. Because every human in this world has his/her own concept and ideas about an issue. That may co-operate or oppose with others. It is a wrong mentality is that, our own idea is superb and we cannot tolerate others which opposing our idea. In this grounds we include Artcle 19 in Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by U. N. O. in 1948.
But this Freedom of expression will not give ultimate liberty to express. The opinion that affect person's privacy, is prohibited. Also the expression that affect a country or society is banned. So, in summery the Freedom of expression ensure you, to express your opinion as long as it will not affect the privacy or security of any person or any society.
Freedom of Expression in different religion:
Islam:
As we said earlier, understand a religion from its secret scriptures rather than the doings of its followers. The most fundamental scripture of Islam is the "Holly Qura'an". So here we check weather Qura'an is support freedom of expression or oppose it.
As any other religion Islam think it is the only way to the permanent victory in both life(this life &life after death).But when we study the qura'an its sounds that it teach us to the right path and wrong path. It is our freedom to choose one of these path. There is no compulsion to any one for taking these path. Qura'an says "there is no compulsion in religion".
Also qura'an encourages the free thinking. It says "the scholar and illiterate are not equal" and in many occasion it communicate with the quote like "why don't you think", "there is enough morale for who think deeply ". These quotes shows that Islam is encourage the free thinking & freedom of expression.
We can also find more evidence for tolerance of Islam from the incidence of prophet Mohammed (S. A.). One day a man came to Mohammed (S. A.) and his followers and begin to abuse his friend Aboobakar sidhique (R. A.). But he did not react. After a long time Aboobakar just react that "same to u" den Prophet said "Dear Aboobakar when you remain calm, an Angle was pray for you but when you begin to react he stopped pray !!!". From this incidence we can infer that Islam is more tolerance even to the abusement.
Thus now we saw the tolerance of Islam to the freedom of expression.Now i am researching the other religions approach to the freedom of expression. So it finished, then this post will be updated.

Mujeeb, India has a great tradition of respecting freedom of expression. Here nobody were killed or prisoned for saying Earth is round. Both Asthikas and Nasthikas got same respect from the rulers. But, nowadays, situations have some deflections.... from this great culture
